Metl-Span Panels Provides Perfect Solution for New Dealership

The Keystone Harley Davidson dealership moved from its longtime home in Parryville, PA to a new home in Whitehall Township, PA. The move positioned the dealership closer to the Lehigh Valley and filled a void that opened when Crossroads Harley Davidson closed its doors in Coopersburg. The new 25,000-square-foot dealership offers all services including financing, authorized service, parts, accessories, and more.

The original design for the new dealership entailed a painted block wall exterior and an insulated drywall interior. Insulated metal panels from Metl-Span became the perfect solution to deliver a customized, high-performance building envelope.

Curb Appeal and Efficiency

Designers selected CF Flute Wall Panels in Slate Grey to create contrast with the brick entry to Keystone Harley.

“We were looking for something that worked well but also caught your eye,” said Robert Blair, of Blair Contracting. “The color made the whole job, and the aesthetic of the finished product surpassed everyone’s expectations.”

Although Metl-Span CF Flute panels are produced in a variety of lengths and widths, they are also easy to install. Crews were able to complete the installation in only two weeks, reducing the overall project timeline.

“It helped us cut down on the number of trades that were needed to install the exterior,” said Blair. “Instead of needing three or four different trades, we were able to simplify the process and only use one source for 90% of the building’s exterior.”

CF Flute Panels are 42 inches in width and 3 inches thick and provide bold vertical reveals to accommodate design flexibility while offering a traditional appearance for commercial buildings. With a fluted insulated metal panel, an all-in-one barrier provides the necessary thermal, air, vapor, and water protection for better control of energy and reduced maintenance.

Turning the Key

Construction on the Keystone Harley Davidson dealership began in June 2020 and was completed in October 2020.
