Three Metl-Span Projects Honored by MBCEA

Three projects with insulated metal panels from Metl-Span received recognition during the recent Metal Building Contractors & Erectors Association annual meeting.

The Boston Sports Institute project in Wellesley, Mass., won the Sports and Recreation Award of Excellence. Metallic Building Company was the building manufacturer and the erector was Barnes Buildings and Management Group of Weymouth, Mass. Metl-Span supplied 58,000 square feet of three-inch insulated metal panels in three colors, Smoke Gray, Polar White and Sandstone. The 7.2 Insul-Rib panel is 36 inches wide with ribs that are 1-1/2 inches deep.

APX Construction LLC built its own new facility in Mankato, Minn. and received the Manufacturing and Warehouse Award of Excellence. Metallic Building Company was the building manufacturer. Almost 15,000 square feet of Metl-Span’s CF42 Santa Fe panels were in Ash Gray and Winter White were installed on the project. The urethane core panels are three inches thick.

The Gabrielli Truck Sales project in Jamaica, N.Y., was named the Specialty Project Award of Excellence winner. The Butler Manufacturing Building was constructed by Thomas Phoenix International Inc., of Eastampton, N.J. Metl-Span manufactured and supplied almost 14,000 square feet of four-inch thick CF-42 panels in Regal Gray.
